Who we are

Our Therapeutic Approach

Our practice is grounded in a person-centred, trauma-informed, and strengths-based framework. This means you are the expert in your own life, and our first priority is to create a safe, non-judgmental, and collaborative space for you to explore your challenges.

We don't believe in a "one-size-fits-all" solution. Instead, we draw from a range of evidence-based models to provide the right tools for your specific goals, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT): To help you identify, challenge, and change unhelpful thought patterns and behaviours.

  • Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): To build psychological flexibility and help you live a rich, meaningful life aligned with your values, even in the presence of difficulty.

  • Solutions-Focused Brief Therapy (SFBT): A practical, goal-oriented approach that focuses on building on your existing strengths to find positive solutions.

  • Motivational Interviewing: A collaborative style to help you connect with your own internal motivation for change.

About Me

Hello, I’m Michelle and I understand that the decision to start counselling can be a big one, and I'm so glad you're exploring the path to greater wellness.

My primary goal as your counsellor is to create a confidential, non-judgmental, and truly safe space for you. This is your time, where you can speak freely, process your thoughts, and untangle the challenges you're facing.

My practice is grounded in structured and evidence-based therapies, but our sessions are more than just techniques, they are a genuine human connection. I believe that everyone deserves to feel understood and to have the tools they need to live a fulfilling life.

For more than a decade, I’ve supported people through all walks of life. I’ve supported individuals in navigating personal challenges - including mental health and wellbeing, anxiety, depression, stress, workplace burnout, drug and alcohol addiction, and substance harm reduction. I also assist employers in creating inclusive workplaces, and work with schools to prepare students for employment and life beyond high school.
